Summer/Winter Miracles is a four- to five-week hosting program that provides older children growing up in foster care and orphanages a unique summer or winter experience—to share the love and life of a family, attend day camp, and enjoy educational and cultural activities in the United States. Host families are not responsible for raising a specific amount but are expected to participate in and/or support their community fundraising efforts. This is done through an orphan hosting program. They are part of the Kidsave Summer Miracles program and you can meet them while they are visiting during the month of July at Kidsave events. Events are designed to give the community and prospective adoptive parents, called visiting families, an opportunity to meet the children and interact with them. We are here to guide families through their required education, prepare their hosting assessments, support them during the summer visit, and help families who choose to move forward to adopt children who participated in the program.
