Shiv Tripathi
 Profesor Shiv Tripathi is presently Professor and
Head (Consultancy and Short-courses) at Mzumbe
University Dar Es Salaam Campus Business School,
Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania). He received Bachelors
degree in Electrical and Electronics engineering
from Karnatak University, Dharwad(India)
followed by Master of Business Administration
and Doctorate from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi
Vidyapith, Varanasi(India). His doctorate looked
into comparative management thoughts of the East
and the West. He has completed International
Faculty Program Certificate from IESE Business
School, Barcelona (Spain). During last 15 years
of his career, he has served a number of
academic institutions and universities in
different capacities. Prior to joining the
Mzumbe University, Tanzania he was Dean, Faculty
of Management Studies at VBS Purvanchal
University (India). His corporate experience
includes advisory, board membership and managing
partnership in three different companies in
India, South Africa and Tanzania respectively.
He has experience of more than 100 full-days
Executive training delivery in different
organizations including National Thermal Power
Corporation (India) and University of
Witwatersand (South Africa). He has experience
in institution Building and strategic planning
and quality system management and sustainable
change management. He has supervised 10 students
for award of Ph.D. degree in Business Management
and published has published more than 60
articles, papers and case-studies at
international levels, including a book on
‘Management Education’.
He is in Editorial / Advisory/Review Board of a
number of Indian and International Journals and
is regular reviewer in international conferences
including Academy of Management, ECRM and NACRA.
His professional association includes membership
of professional bodies like CEEMAN (Slovenia),
International Association of Sustainability
Professionals (USA); and IESE Alumni Association
(Spain). He has been member in United Nations
Principles for Responsible Management Education
(PRME) Global Working Group on ‘Anti-Corruption
in Management Curricula’ and ‘Poverty
Eradication through Management Education’ and
also Coordinator, Management Sub-group. He’s
visiting scholar at different institutions
including ISAE Business School, Curitiba
(Brazil); He has also been Visiting Professor
(International Higher Education Management
Certificate Program) at University of
Witwatersand, Johannesburg (South Africa) and
Invited Speaker at !5th International
Anti-corruption Conference (IACC), Brasilia
(Brazil).
Dr. Tripathi’s professional interests include
Strategic Management Applications;
Anti-corruption, Sustainability and Poverty
Issues in Management; Strategic Higher Education
Management; Managing Organizational Change;
Quality Management System Design; Ethics and
Human Values in Management; Management of
B-Schools and other related areas.
